Coloured Gemstones and Period Jewels are Highlights of the Bonhams Exceptional Jewels and Jadeite, Hong Kong Sale

Hong Kong - Bonhams presents the Exceptional Jewels & Jadeite, Hong Kong sale on 24 May 2026. The 148-lot sale will showcase a notable international collection of period treasures of exquisite designs in addition to a selection of coloured gemstones including rubies, Kashmir sapphires, emeralds, diamonds and coloured diamonds, offering collectors an opportunity to acquire rare and highly collectable jewels of exceptional quality and craftsmanship.

Leading the sale is an emerald and diamond necklace, circa 1950. The elegant necklace is composed of seven step-cut Colombian emeralds of vivid green colour weighing a total of 50.00 carats, accented over 30 carat vari-cut diamonds. The necklace is offered with an estimate of HK$4,800,000-5,500,000.

Another notable highlight is a 16.50 carats red spinel and diamond ring. The Tanzanian red spinel set within tapered baguette-cut diamonds is offered with an estimate of HK$1,800,000-2,400,000.

Sapphire highlights include:

• A sapphire and diamond ring. The 5.31 carat cushion-shaped sapphire of Kashmir origin is offered with an estimate of HK$1,350,000-2,000,000.

• An 8.72-carat sugarloaf Kashmir sapphire and diamond ring, offered with an estimate of HK$1,000,000-2,000,000.

Emerald highlights include:

• A pair of unmounted step-cut Colombian emeralds weighing 31.20 and 30.12 carats. Offered with an estimate HK$1,100,000-2,200,000.

• A 5.84 carat emerald and diamond ring. The no oil emerald of Colombian origin is offered with an estimate of HK$1,200,000-1,500,000.

Fancy diamond highlights include:

• An unmounted fancy vivid yellow diamond. The step-cut fancy vivid yellow diamond is natural, VS1 clarity, weighing 4.10 carats. Offered with an estimate of HK$900,000-1,600,000.

• A fancy intense pink diamond, coloured diamond and diamond ring. Set with a kite-shaped fancy intense pink diamond weighing 1.01 carats and a round brilliant-cut diamond of pink tint beneath, within a round brilliant- and tapered baguette-cut diamond frame. Offered with an estimate of HK$700,000-1,100,000.

Emerald highlights from the international collection include:

• A Fabre emerald choker, set with calibre emeralds between gold collets. Offered with an estimate of HK$550,000-700,000.

• A pair of Mauboussin emerald and gem-set earclips, circa 1970, each centering an oval cabochon emerald weighing 11.83 and 9.87 carats respectively, embellished with round brilliant-cut diamonds, circular-cut sapphires and rubies. Offered with an estimate of HK$140,000-200,000.
