China's police chief meets foreign officials attending Global Public Security Cooperation Forum

NANJING, Sept. 19 -- Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong met separately with officials from Qatar, Georgia, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Russia on Thursday.

The foreign officials are Minister of State for Interior Affairs of Qatar Abdulaziz bin Faisal AL-Thani, Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Gela Geladze, Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs of Mongolia Munkhbaatar Lhagva, Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan Rakhimzoda Ramazon Hamro, Minister of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Sadenov, and Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kolokoltsev. They are in China to attend the 2025 Conference of Global Public Security Cooperation Forum, which was held in the city of Lianyungang in east China's Jiangsu Province.

Wang said that China is willing to work with all parties to implement the Global Security Initiative and the Global Governance Initiative, consolidate strategic mutual trust, strengthen communication and exchange, and deepen practical cooperation with all parties in such areas as combating transnational crimes and enhancing law enforcement capabilities.

He called on all parties to write a new chapter in law enforcement and security cooperation, strive for more fair, equitable and efficient global public security governance, and make greater contributions to the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.

The foreign officials expressed great appreciation for the Global Security Initiative and the Global Governance Initiative, and congratulated China on hosting the forum successfully.

They said they are willing to deepen practical cooperation on law enforcement and security with China, work together to address risks and challenges, and work together to shape a new pattern of global public security governance.
