"As 2025 draws to a close, I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to the dedicated employees of the City, and to our whole community.

City employees work hard every day to provide the services and amenities that make Madison a wonderful place to live, work, and visit. We are fortunate to have a City government that is filled with talented, smart, and dedicated individuals. I'm so grateful to work with them.

I'm also thankful for this community's generosity, spirit, and commitment to ensuring everyone who lives here gets to share in the same high quality of life. We've shown over and over again that Madisonians take care of each other, even during challenging times like we've seen over the past year. I'm looking forward to another year of building on our successes, confronting challenging problems, and engaging in vibrant debate along the way.

Madison is a truly special place, and I'm honored to be your Mayor. This holiday season, I hope that every Madisonian has an opportunity to celebrate, relax, and enjoy time with friends and family. I wish you all the best in 2026.
