VU community comes together for Giving Day success

Giving Day and I⚓VU Week 2025 are in the books! More than 6,400 members of the Vanderbilt community-alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents and friends-gave more than $11.2 million. Chancellor Daniel Diermeier offers sincere gratitude on behalf of everyone at the university.

Some key highlights from the week include:

• Commodores everywhere submitted their #TravelingMrC photos, demonstrating our global presence.
• Our first-ever I Bleed Black and Gold Blood Drive had 39 people provide blood to the Red Cross.
• The Vanderbilt community drove incredible participation and closed out 35 matches and challenges (and counting).

This year's inaugural I⚓VU Week took Commodore spirit to the next level with a weeklong celebration.

Vanderbilt community members from 50 U.S. states and 23 more countries on six continents made gifts to support areas across the university, including schools, labs and institutes, athletics, student organizations and scholarships. Additionally, all contributions support the historic Dare to Grow campaign, driving the university's most ambitious vision: to be the great university of the 21st century.
