OCEAN COUNTY - The Ocean County Office of Senior Services is calling all creative and talented Ocean County senior artists age 60 and over to showcase their original artwork in a variety of categories at this year's Senior Citizen Art Show.
The 2026 Annual Senior Citizen Art Show is a vibrant showcase of creativity, talent, and artistic expression from Ocean County's senior residents. The art will be on display at Ocean County College in the Jay and Linda Grunin Performing Arts Academy from June 8 through June 25. The event is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please note, the Jay and Linda Grunin Performing Arts Academy is closed on June 19.
Categories of artwork include paintings, photography, sculpture, mixed media, crafts, watercolor, drawing and more. Both professional and non-professional artists are encouraged to participate.
"We are excited for everyone to come out and experience the incredible talent, passion and originality on display at this year's Senior Citizen Art Show," said Ocean County Commissioner Robert S. Arace, who serves as liaison to the Ocean County Office of Senior Services. "This summer event is a wonderful celebration of our senior community and the many artistic contributions they continue to share with Ocean County."
Anyone who is interested in participating is encouraged to register by May 22, 2026. Artists must drop off one piece of artwork to be entered into the show on Wednesday June 3, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. First place winners of each category will be eligible to advance to the New Jersey State Senior Citizens Annual Juried Art Contest & Exhibition.
