When wildfires threatened communities across Idaho and Oregon, Quanta crews working nearby had the people, equipment, and expertise to help.
As wildfires burned across Idaho and Oregon this summer, local, state, and federal firefighting resources were stretched thin. Near the Boardman to Hemingway (B2H) transmission line project, the fires were threatening ranch land, homes, and the communities surrounding the work.
But resources were already nearby.
Quanta is the lead contractor on B2H, where multiple operating companies are working together to build critical transmission infrastructure. The work on that project meant that crews and specialized equipment were already in the region when neighboring communities needed help.
