Bicyclist Deceased After Crash With Vehicle

A bicyclist is deceased after a crash with a vehicle in East Portland. The Major Crash Team is responding to investigate.

On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 6:34 p.m., officers from the East Precinct responded to reports of a crash between an electric bicycle and vehicle at the intersection of Northeast Halsey Street and Northeast 111th Avenue. Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the bicycle rider to an area hospital, where they later died. The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene.
The Portland Police Bureau Major Crash Team is responding to investigate. During the investigation, Northeast Halsey Street will be closed between Northeast 111th Avenue and Northeast 113th Avenue.
