8th annual Salt River Quilt Show to be held in October…

Quilters gear up for show held at Mark Twain Memorial Shrine

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, SEPT. 12, 2025 - The eighth annual Salt River Quilt Show will be held Oct. 4-5 at the Mark Twain Memorial Shrine in Florida, Missouri. The quilt show, hosted by Missouri State Parks and the Monroe County Historical Society, will open each day at 9 a.m. and close Saturday, Oct. 4, at 4 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 5, at 3 p.m.

America's 250th anniversary celebration has already started and quilters are invited to help say "happy birthday" to our country! The quilt show theme, "Spirit of America," covers our country's history, natural wonders, American heroes, hopes for America or whatever is loved about our nation or is uniquely American. Local quilters are invited to show their designs and ideas through their quilts.

Admission to the show is free and open to the public, but there is a $5 entry fee per quilt that goes to the local historical society to aid in their efforts to preserve the history of Monroe County. Quilters may enter as many quilts as they wish. Quilts will be judged by an independent judge and ribbons and prizes awarded. More information on the quilt show and entry forms can be found online at mostateparks.com/event/109686/eighth-annual-salt-river-quilt-show.
