Mobile library services coming to Tagish

A mobile library will be coming to Tagish beginning August 6, 2025. In March, the Tagish Library and the Tagish Community Centre were lost in a fire.

The mobile library will provide library services to the residents of Tagish. The library will have a small collection of books and other resources and will allow residents to pick up and return library materials.

It will be located near the mailboxes in Tagish, close to where the library building once stood.

The mobile library will run until the end of September and will be open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 12 pm to 3:30 pm.

Quick facts
  • A person's library card can be used at all 15 Yukon Public Libraries across the Yukon.

  • If residents of Tagish cannot make it to the mobile library during opening hours, a drop box is already in place for patrons to return books.

  • The mobile library will be closed Monday, August 18 for Discovery Day.
