Blasting works will begin in Kirjastopuisto

Since autumn, earthworks and relocations of municipal utilities have been carried out in Kirjastopuisto. Blasting works will be next to begin. The planned duration of the blasting works in Kirjastopuisto:

23.2.2026.-31.04.2026.

Rock drilling and blasting works will cause occasional noise. All blasting works are carried out within the closed worksite area. The worksite area is marked in yellow on the map, and the blasting area is marked in orange within it.

We use a special audible signal to warn of an upcoming blast. The signal also ensures internal safety on the site, and it will be partly audible in the surrounding area. At the moment of blasting, supervisors will check the surroundings and, if necessary, stop pedestrians and drivers so that the blast can be carried out safely.

We work on weekdays between 7:00 and 18:00. For compelling reasons, we may exceptionally work until 20:00. We aim to schedule noisy work at times that cause as little disturbance as possible. If needed, you may collect earplugs from Tikkurila Library. The work has been commissioned by the City of Vantaa and is carried out by Destia. We apologise for any inconvenience.
