The City of Santa Rosa is pleased to announce the appointment of Misti Wood as its new Communications and Intergovernmental Relations Manager, effective July 7, 2025. Ms. Wood brings more than two decades of experience in public communications, media relations, and government affairs.
Misti Wood joins the City of Santa Rosa from the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office, where she served as the Community Engagement Liaison, earning a reputation for her strategic communication skills, transparency, and commitment to building public trust.
In her new role, Ms. Wood will lead the City's communications efforts, overseeing public information, media relations, community engagement strategies, and intergovernmental affairs. She will play a key role in ensuring open and effective communication between the City and its residents, regional partners, and government agencies.
