The Illinois Office of Comptroller (IOC) will again host a tent at the Illinois State Fair, offering visitors exciting giveaways, cold water, games, information about the office's programs and services, and a chance to learn more about what the IOC does as the state's fiscal watchdog.
"The Illinois State Fair is one of my favorite traditions, and I hope fairgoers will stop by our tent between concerts, corndogs and lemon shake-ups to learn what the Comptroller's Office does, how we safeguard taxpayer dollars and the important services we provide every day," said Comptroller Mendoza.
Additionally, the IOC will hold three special events during the fair, including Comptroller Mendoza's popular dog adoption event, which results in at least one pooch finding a forever home each year.
Friday, August 14th
WILD Canine Rescue in Springfield will be at the tent from
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with some of the group's adorable dogs available for adoption. Come out and spend some time with the animals in need of a family and learn more about the IOC's
Comptroller's Critters program.
