Texas Corn Producers Announces 2025 FFA Grant Winners

Texas Corn Producers is excited to announce that Baird FFA and Granger FFA are the winners of TCP's FFA Grants this year.

Each chapter will receive $1,250 toward their respective efforts this school year.

Baird FFA

The Baird FFA chapter plans to use the grant to champion hands-on, corn-based activities in class, as well as FFA leadership development opportunities through agricultural advocacy. With the support of Chapter Advisor Lane Baker, students will better understand the challenges farmers face and more effectively advocate for the industry. The chapter is eager to utilize the grant to ignite agricultural interest in the school district and community.

Granger FFA

The Granger community will benefit from fresh produce grown in the student-run garden and greenhouse Granger FFA will create with the assistance of these grant funds. Corn will be its primary crop, and will teach students the full cycle of crop production, processing and community outreach. With the guidance of Chapter Advisor Erin Pavliska, the chapter will raise awareness about local farming practices and promote sustainability - something that's needed in an area surrounded by corn but with many far removed from the daily work on the farm.

"We're excited to see these chapters' ideas come to fruition as they begin the school year," Haylee Young, TCP's business director who coordinates youth education efforts, said. "This investment in our students is an investment in the future of agriculture and aims to help the leaders and communities of tomorrow better understand corn farming and connect the value of the industry to their everyday lives."

TCP's FFA grant program aims to bolster local FFA programs and empower students to create additional opportunities for community involvement and chapter leadership development. Grants are open to all active Texas FFA chapters in good standing, with applications opening in the spring. Learn more about TCP's grant program and other opportunities for Texas students HERE.
