DAVIS, Calif., July 8, 2025 - The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in California is accepting Environmental Quality Incentives Program applications for the Joint Chiefs Landscape Restoration Project (JCLRP) initiative. This additional sign up is for the existing approved California JCLRP project area: Eagle Lake Susan River Watershed in Lassen and Plumas counties. Applications will be selected based on available funding for projects within the initiative.
JCLRP is a collaboration between the US Forest Service, NRCS and local partners to reduce wildfire threat, protect water quality and improve wildlife habitat. Eligible producers must operate in applicable areas of Lassen County and various areas of Plumas County within the CA JCLRP project area.

Applications are currently being accepted through Friday, July 25, 2025.
NRCS will be utilizing ACT NOW to process conservation applications in the JCLRP ranking pool. ACT NOW allows NRCS to immediately approve and obligate a ranked application in a designated ranking pool when an eligible application meets or exceeds a State-established minimum ranking score without waiting for all applications to be ranked and preapproved in that ranking pool.
