Falkirk Art Galleries invites the community to kick off the new year with the Falkirk Cultural Center Winter Juried Show 2026, A Celebration of Contrasts. This highly anticipated exhibition opens with a public reception on Friday, January 9, 2026, marking the first exhibit of the year at the Falkirk Cultural Center.

A Celebration of Contrasts is a juried show featuring the work of 83 local Bay Area artists, filling Falkirk's three galleries with a dynamic mix of paintings, sculptures, ceramics, multi-media works, and more. Together, the exhibition highlights a wide range of artistic styles, materials, and perspectives-offering visitors an engaging and varied gallery experience.

Opening Night festivities will take place from 5:00pm to 7:30pm, with awards announced at 6:00pm. This year's Juror of Awards is renowned ceramics sculptor Richard Shaw, whose distinguished career brings special recognition to the selected artists. Guests are encouraged to explore the galleries, meet the artists, and enjoy an evening celebrating creativity and community in a historic setting.

A Celebration of Contrasts will be on display from January 9 through February 20, 2026, at the Falkirk Cultural Center, located at 1408 Mission Avenue in San Rafael. Admission is free, and all are welcome.
