Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria Yu Dunhai Meets with Senator Orji Uzor Kalu
On May 12, Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria Yu Dunhai met with Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
Ambassador Yu stated that, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, China-Nigeria relations are gaining strong momentum and have entered the "fast lane" of high-quality development. This year marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. China stands ready to deepen exchanges and cooperation between the governments and legislatures with Nigeria, is willing to firmly support each other on issues involving their respective core interests and major concerns, and elevate the China-Nigeria Comprehensive Strategic Partnership to a new height.
Kalu recalled what his recent visit to China, spoke highly of the remarkable achievements of Chinese modernization, and expressed gratitude for China's valuable support and assistance to Nigeria's economic and social development. Kalu reaffirmed Nigeria's firm adherence to the one-China principle.
