St. Louis Work Zones September 24-30

ST. LOUIS - Crews with the Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project will shift lanes of Interstate 70 in St. Charles County between the Foristell weigh station and Wentzville Parkway (mile markers 205.4-208) starting overnight Thursday, October 1 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Motorists can expect the following traffic conditions and impacts:

• October 1 - Eastbound traffic will shift to the final lane configuration; however, the new third lane of I-70 will remain closed.
• October 1 - East of Wentzville Parkway, eastbound traffic will shift RIGHT onto the new pavement and away from the temporary drainage structures.
• October 6 - Westbound traffic will shift LEFT onto the new pavement to allow the remaining construction of the I-70 westbound lanes.
• October 6 - The David Hoekel Parkway westbound on and off ramps will close for 30 days.

After the westbound traffic switch occurs, traffic barriers will be in place along the right and left shoulders of westbound I-70. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained on I-70 during peak travel times, and the speed limit will remain 55 mph throughout the work zone. Westbound I-70 will experience nightly right lane closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. during construction.

The lane shifts and nightly lane closures will remain in place through 2026.

• Route 61/67, St. Louis County, through 3 p.m. Friday, one southbound lane closed at Meramec River to Lindbergh.
• Route 61/67, St. Louis County, one northbound lane closed at Meramec River to Lindbergh through late 2026.
