Paving impacts at Resources Road and 68 Avenue

Crews are preparing to pave the intersection of Resources Road and 68 Avenue as part of the ongoing Resources Road rehabilitation project.

Paving is anticipated to begin Saturday, August 8 and take approximately two to three days to complete, weather permitting.

The intersection will remain open during the work, but motorists should expect short-term traffic stops, temporary detours, lane closures and delays while the paver moves through the intersection.

The following movements will be affected:

• Northbound and southbound traffic on Resources Road
• Westbound to southbound turns
• Eastbound to northbound turns

Eastbound and westbound through traffic on 68 Avenue will remain open, with alternating single-lane closures as required. Only one half of the intersection will be affected at a time.

Flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic.

Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes where possible, follow traffic control and allow additional travel time. Delays may be longer when trains are moving through the nearby 68 Avenue rail crossing.
