Emergency Cold Weather Shelter Notification
In partnership with St. Lucie County and the City of Fort Pierce, In the Image of Christ will be operating an emergency cold weather shelter at the Percy Peek Gym, located at 2902 Avenue D, Fort Pierce.
The National Weather Service has forecasted overnight temperatures across the Treasure Coast to drop to the low 40s on Tuesday, January 7, and Wednesday, January 8.
The emergency cold weather shelter at Percy Peek Gym will be open from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
Transportation Assistance
For individuals needing transportation to the shelter, Area Regional Transit (ART) will provide free rides from the following locations between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.:
Port St. Lucie Intermodal Station (395 SE Deacon Ave., Port St. Lucie)
Prima Vista Crossing Bus Stop (Prima Vista Blvd., east of US 1)
Pinewood Park (820 Sunrise Blvd., Fort Pierce)
Kilmer Branch Library (101 Melody Lane, Fort Pierce)
Publix Plaza at Taylor Creek (1851 N US Hwy 1, Fort Pierce)
Percy Peek Gym (2902 Avenue D, Fort Pierce)
