Laura Calder brings more than 20 years of experience in financial management, accounting, budgeting and public sector finance to Goodyear as the city's new Finance Director. In her role, Calder will lead the city's Finance Department and help ensure strong financial stewardship while supporting Goodyear's continued growth.

It's about making thoughtful decisions, finding better ways to do business and ensuring we have the resources and systems in place to serve our community today and well into the future."
Before joining Goodyear, Calder served as Financial Services Director for the city of Tempe, where she oversaw a broad range of citywide functions, including accounting, financial reporting, debt and investment management, procurement, tax and licensing, utility billing and customer service, risk management, and facilities management. She also led bond planning and issuance, Annual Comprehensive Financial Report reporting, and major efforts to modernize legacy financial and utility billing systems.
Calder's previous experience includes senior finance leadership roles with the State of Colorado Governor's Office of Information Technology and the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Master of Business Administration.
