Megan Moroney revealed a dealbreaker in a relationship in a new interview.
Moroney, 29, caught up with Maggie Rulli on ABC's Nightline on Tuesday night (October 13). In an interview clip shared on Instagram, Rulli pointed out to the singer-songwriter, "Since so much of your heart gets poured into your album and a lot of it's relationship based, we thought it'd be fun to go through some Hinge prompts with you."
Moroney said she's never had the dating app, and went on to answer some of the prompts read by Rulli.
"The best way to ask me out is by," Rulli read, prompting Moroney to finish the sentence.
"Using your words. Asking me out with words," the Emo Cowgirl responded. "You would be shocked to find out that that's not common.
Rulli continued, "I'm weirdly attracted to…"
"…A guy that cuts my steaks for me," Moroney said.
Rulli prompted, "Something that's non-negotiable for me is…"
"No girl best friend," Moroney answered (and Rulli agreed).
Moroney also wants to make sure she and her partner are on the same page about "not cheat(ing) on each other," and said she "won't shut up about" her "Cloud 9 era."
Moroney released her third studio record, Cloud 9, earlier this year. The album included "Medicine," "6 Months Later," "Stupid," "Beautiful Things," "Who Hurt You?," "Wish I Didn't" and more. Cloud 9 follows 2023's Lucky and 2024's Am I Okay?.
"I am so excited for my fans and I to dive into this new world of Cloud 9 together," Moroney said in a statement when she announced Cloud 9 after teasing the highly-anticipated era. "Similar to the first two albums, it's all written about honest, personal experiences, but these songs were written by the strongest, most confident version of myself I've ever been. My feet feel firmly planted in my artistry and it was fun to play around sonically, while still sticking to my roots of what my fans and I love. Cloud 9 is a state of mind, and I have no doubt this will be the best chapter yet."
