Chandler, Ariz. - Councilmember OD Harris is inviting Chandler residents, students and families to honor teachers and administrators by nominating local educators who make a lasting difference in their classrooms and communities.
This Teacher Appreciation Month initiative recognizes the dedication, creativity and compassion of teachers and administrators who go above and beyond to inspire lifelong learning. Nominations are open now at chandleraz.gov/TeacherAppreciation.
"Our teachers are the foundation of our city's future," said Councilmember Harris. "They not only teach curriculum, but they nurture potential, build confidence and spark innovation in every student they reach. This is our opportunity to say thank you."
Celebrating Teacher Appreciation Month in May provides Chandler residents with an opportunity to share stories about educators who demonstrate excellence both inside and outside the classroom. Nominees can represent any grade level and may work in public, charter or private schools located within Chandler city limits.
"As a proud advocate for education and opportunity, I encourage everyone to take a moment to recognize the teachers and administrators who have shaped our community," Harris added. "Your nomination helps us shine a light on the everyday heroes who invest in our children's success."
Selected nominees will be publicly recognized in May by Councilmember OD Harris as outstanding educators and administrators making a meaningful difference in Chandler.
