Chinese Embassy in Malaysia Holds“2026 Happy Chinese New Year – Galloping into Prosperity” Cultural Showcase in Kuala Lumpur

On February 14,"2026 Happy Chinese New Year - Galloping into Prosperity" Cultural Showcase has been held in Kuala Lumpur. Present to speak were H.E. Ambassador Ouyang Yujing and Minister in the Malaysian Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories), Hannah Yeoh Tseow Suan. Also present were the Mayor of Kuala Lumpur, Fadlun Mak Ujud and Head of Delegation from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Lu Bin along with other guests and the Malaysian public, among nearly a thousand attendees.

Ambassador Ouyang said that in recent years, China-Malaysia exchanges and cooperation across various fields have increasingly deepened, with numerous highlights in people-to-people and cultural exchanges that injects steady momentum into the development of bilateral relations. As this year is the Visit Malaysia Year, cultural and tourism cooperation between the two countries is set to welcome new opportunities. The Ambassador looks forward to strengthening policy communication and enriching the essence of exchanges by both sides, so as to better serve the building of a high-level strategic China-Malaysia community with a shared future.

Hannah Yeoh welcomed the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism delegation to visit Malaysia, as well as the exciting performances it brings to celebrate the Year of the Horse together. She said that both sides should strengthen exchanges and mutual visits to enhance understanding and friendship.

The event, supported by the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, is jointly organised by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, and Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).
