Surgical Technologists Week

It is National Surgical Technologists week!

From September 21st-27th the profession has the spotlight, as surgical technologists play an essential role in saving lives in operating rooms, keeping patients safe. Without a properly trained surgical technologist, surgeries can last longer, leading to medical errors, more expensive anesthesia time, and greater overall risk to patient safety.

With that in mind, during National Surgical Technologists week, House Minority Leader Tony McCombie is honoring these dedicated health care professionals and their educators, whose life saving work is often overlooked.
