2024 Louisiana State Silver Gloves Tournament Hosted in New Orleans

The 2024 Louisiana State Silver Gloves Tournament will be held at the Spartan Boxing Club located at the Milne Recreation Center on Dec. 14 and 15, at 2 p.m. This highly anticipated event, sponsored in collaboration with Upper Cutz Boxing Gym and Barbershop, will showcase the talent and determination of youth boxers aged 8-17, with adult fighters competing after the youth brackets conclude each day.

The Silver Gloves Tournament, a longstanding tradition in the boxing community, provides a platform for young athletes to demonstrate their skills and advance in their boxing careers. Attendees can expect exciting matchups and a display of discipline, sportsmanship, and perseverance.

"The Silver Gloves Tournament is a fantastic opportunity for young athletes to challenge themselves, grow in confidence, and represent their communities," said Isaac Knapper, Head Coach of Spartan Boxing Club. "We're proud to host this event and provide a stage for these rising stars."

Admission for the event is $20, with free entry for children aged 5 and under. All proceeds collected will support Spartan Boxing Programs. The Milne Recreation Center is located at 5420 Franklin Ave, New Orleans, LA 70122.
