Milling and Resurfacing on Route 201 in Griswold

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 201 in Griswold. This project is scheduled to occur on Thursday, June 4 and be completed on Monday, August 17, 2026. Project No. DOT01720558CN "BB" consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.05-mile segment of Route 201 from 0.04 mi. south of the I-395 access ramp to Route 12 in Griswold. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Rafferty Fine Grading Inc. on Thursday, June 4 to Tuesday, June 9, 2026. The resurfacing segment of this project by All States Construction Inc. is anticipated to begin on Monday, August 10 to Monday, August 17, 2026.

This project is included in CTDOT's 2026 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 201 from 0.04 mi. south of the I-395 access ramp to Route 12 in Griswold. Traffic control personnel, crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
