A senior sports delegation from Fiji is currently in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, at the invitation of the Fukuoka Prefectural Government office. The visit marks an important step in strengthening friendship, cooperation, and exchange between Fiji and Japan.
The Fijian delegation comprises:

Mr. Saula Koroi, Senior Sports Development Officer, Fiji National Sports Commission (FNSC)
Mr. Nacani Cawanibuka, General Manager High Performance, Fiji Rugby Union
Mr. Ame Naivalu, Board Member, Fiji National Sports Commission (FNSC)
The program includes official meetings with the Fukuoka Prefectural Government, visits to youth and sports facilities, and discussions on future partnerships.
"This visit is about deepening our relations and learning from Fukuoka's experience in youth and sports development. It also provides a platform for us to showcase Fiji's unique strengths and explore mutual areas of cooperation," Minister Saukuru highlighted.
The trip is fully funded by the Fukuoka Prefectural Government office and is expected to pave the way for exchange programs, technical cooperation, and joint initiatives that will benefit both countries.
This mission reflects Fiji's ongoing commitment to building international partnerships that create meaningful opportunities for young people and promote sports as a tool for development, unity, and progress.
