Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera Wraps Successful 2026 National Lt. Governors Association (NLGA) Annual Meeting

DENVER - Last week, Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera hosted the 2026 National Lieutenant Governors Association's (NLGA) Annual Meeting in Denver, welcoming lieutenant governors from across the nation, Tribal leaders, and public and private sector partners for three days of programming built around showcasing Colorado's very best.

"Hosting this meeting gave us the chance to show the rest of the country what we already know here in Colorado - that when government, industry, and community partners choose to work together, we can achieve great things," said Lt. Governor Primavera. "I am so proud to have welcomed my fellow Lt. Governors from across the nation to my home state, showcasing all of the amazing work we have accomplished in our efforts to build a Colorado for All."

Colorado Governor Jared Polis welcomed attendees during Wednesday's opening plenary and emphasized the bipartisan spirit underpinning both his and Lt. Governor Primavera's approach to governing.

Throughout the course of the week, partners from across the nation and state discussed a diverse array of topics, including: accessibility and outdoor recreation, Colorado's aerospace & defense community, healthcare innovation, Tribal sovereignty and the importance of government-to-government relationships, housing, aging, and the power of national service. The week was also a celebration of America's 250th anniversary and Colorado's 150th.

Additionally, Kentucky Lt. Governor Jacqueline Coleman was elected as the new Chair of the National Lieutenant Governors Association during this week's meeting, succeeding South Carolina Lt. Governor Pamela Evette, whose one-year term as NLGA Chair concluded per the association's standard annual rotation.

"I am so thankful to Lt. Gov. Primavera and her team for hosting the 2026 NLGA Annual Meeting in Denver, Colorado," said Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman. "This meeting has been extra special to me, as I was elected as the new chair for NLGA this week. Kentucky is known for our hospitality, but the good people of Colorado have given us a run for our money this week."
