‘Can This Love Be Translated?’ Main Trailer Presents a Heart-Fluttering Romantic Trip

Upcoming Korean romcom series Can This Love Be Translated? is headed for its January 16 premiere, and the newly released main trailer invites viewers on a "romantic trip" with Joo Ho-jin and Cha Mu-hee - a journey where every breathtaking stop brings them closer, even as they sometimes struggle to understand each other.

The trailer delves deeper into the story of Ho-jin (Kim Seon-ho), a calm and capable multilingual interpreter, and Mu-hee (Go Youn-jung), a world-famous celebrity determined to meet him halfway. Together, they move through beautiful landscapes as the series' cross-border romance unfolds across Korea, Japan, Canada, and Italy. At times, they let each other in; at others, they run into walls. Ho-jin can interpret various languages with ease, yet finds Mu-hee's heart the hardest to read. While Mu-hee, though loved by fans around the world, struggles with expressing her own love.

Amid the trip's postcard-perfect views, the trailer foregrounds what lies within: the pauses before a confession, the smiles that don't quite hide doubt, and the small acts of care that say more than words. There's also a glimpse of Do Ra-mi, the character that brought Mu-hee to global stardom.

The main poster shows Ho-jin and Mu-hee in Italy, with the word "love" written in multiple languages between them - most of all, underscoring that the one language they want to know the most is each other's.

Starring Kim Seon-ho ( When Life Gives You Tangerines , Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha , Start-Up ) and Go Youn-jung ( Resident Playbook , Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow , Sweet Home ), the series is written by the Hong Sisters - Hong Jung-eun and Hong Mi-ran ( Alchemy of Souls , Hotel Del Luna , The Master's Sun ) - and directed by Yoo Young-eun ( Bloody Heart ), known for elegant visuals and emotional storytelling.

Can This Love Be Translated? premieres January 16, only on Netflix.
