Pride of the Lions: Jamie Titus, Ph.D.

Dear Mount Community,

This month's Pride of the Lions is Dr. Jamie Titus, Associate Professor of Chemistry in the School of Arts & Sciences. In addition to her teaching, Jamie serves as Assessment Coordinator and is an ex officio member of the Executive Committee of the Faculty Assembly, the Committee on Academic Assessment, and the Committee on Academic Program Review.

Jamie also works closely with the Provost and the Core Curriculum Coordinator to ensure careful assessment of the Core's effectiveness, and she has developed the CIRCLE framework that allows for refinements to the curriculum through the faculty shared governance process. For the past year or two, Jamie has been working with a small group of colleagues to prepare the HLC Quality Assurance Report, taking on responsibility for drafting a narrative for the criterion focusing on Teaching and Learning for Student Success.

Jamie is also a dedicated advisor and passionate advocate for all prospective, current, and former MSJ students. For her sustained commitment to the Mount, Dr. Titus is this month's Pride of the Lions.
