Statement from DHSES Commissioner Jackie Bray

"New York remains the nation's top terror target, and thanks to the leadership of Governor Hochul, the White House has rightly decided to reverse a staggering $187 million cut in counterterrorism funding that would have courted disaster and put lives at risk. Now our police, firefighters and public safety professionals won't lose the training, equipment and tools they need to protect our homeland and eliminate terrorist and criminal threats. I thank all of our partners who stood with us to restore this vital funding and keep our communities safe."
