The House of Dior celebrates Miss Dior in Shanghai with an exceptional immersive exhibition

Dior's exhibition-event Miss Dior - Stories of a Miss from September 13 to October 8, 2025 at Fosun Foundation in Shanghai showcases the couturier's first olfactory opus and Catherine Dior, the muse for the perfume and a French Resistance hero.

Following the tremendous success of the L'Or de Dior exhibition last year in Beijing, Dior reaffirms its enduring ties with China, inviting visitors to share a powerful sensory experience that bridges art, couture and olfactory memory.

Outside the entrance, visitors are welcomed by a monumental sculpture that references the 1952 Bobby bottle, inspired by Christian Dior's favorite dog. Inside, the spectacular exhibition designed by OMA New York reveals a new sensory surprise in each successive space. The visit begins by tracing the history of perfume through the Dior archives, with photographs and heritage objects and materials, followed by a poetic immersion in an indoor garden created by artist Eva Jospin.

Further on, an olfactory installation envelops visitors in the key notes of the fragrance alongside a sculptural floral robe. The colorful Sixties room then revives the modern style of the House's first ready-to-wear collection, which embodied the couturier's dream of dressing all women. The exhibition culminates with a compelling dialogue between haute couture and contemporary art, with exceptional dresses worn by Natalie Portman in Miss Dior campaigns shown alongside works by internationally-renowned women contemporary artists.

They include six major Chinese artists- Ai Jing, Chen Ke, Liu Shiyuan, Zhou Li, Liang Yuanwei and Daishi Luo - who reveal their original creations, some displayed for the first time. The personality of Catherine Dior, an eternal muse for the House and figure of the French Resistance, is an omnipresent inspiration throughout the exhibition.
