In the latest A Minute with MSJ Art Education video, discover how Mount St. Joseph University's Art Education program prepares students to become creative and effective visual arts educators. The program combines intensive study of the visual arts with education coursework, giving students opportunities to develop their artistic skills while learning how to meet the needs of diverse PreK-12 learners.

Through studio courses, art history, art criticism, field experiences and student teaching, students gain hands-on experience across a variety of artistic disciplines while preparing for careers in art education. The program culminates in a senior thesis exhibition and prepares graduates to apply for Ohio Teacher Licensure in Visual Arts (PreK-12).
