"Navigating Adaptive Interventions: Statistical Considerations in Sequential Multiple Assignment Randomized Trials"

In clinical care, treatments are often adjusted based on a patient's response. These personalized, stepwise approaches-known as adaptive interventions or dynamic treatment regimes (DTRs)-can be studied using Sequential Multiple Assignment Randomized Trials (SMARTs). This seminar will introduce the fundamentals of DTRs and SMART designs, covering key statistical considerations and real-world examples of adaptive intervention research.
