RPNM calls for formal U.S. Senate Debate

IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 23, 2026 Albuquerque, NM - With just under six weeks until Election Day, Senator Ben Ray Luján continues to avoid a debate with U.S. Senate candidate, Larry Marker. RPNM releases the following statement: "It should be a serious red flag for all New Mexico voters that Ben Ray Luján refuses to debate Larry Marker and answer tough questions about his record," said Interim Chairman Mike Nelson. "Sadly, avoiding debates has become a pattern for New Mexico Democrats as they aim to just 'run out the clock,' but voters are owed much more heading into this consequential midterm election in just 41 days. Democrats at every level of the ballot have taken New Mexico for granted for far too long, and this is yet another example of that. RPNM is calling for a formal U.S. Senate debate between Larry Marker and Ben Ray Luján." ### |
