Police took a report of a stolen package on Centre Street. Victim stated a package containing a $349 iPad was taken by a suspect wearing all black and a motorcycle helmet, who fled the scene on a motorcycle.

Police responded to a shoplifting on the 200 block on Alewife Brook Parkway. Officers located the suspect, identified as Thomas Brennick, 60, of Boston, nearby. The business manager reported Brennick entered the business and took approximately $20 worth of food from the hot bar. Brennick was also found to have five active warrants from courts in Brookline, Boston, and Quincy. Officers placed Brennick under arrest, he will face an additional charge of Shoplifting by Asportation; 2nd Offense with regard to this incident.

Police responded to a bank on the 800 block of Somerville Ave on a report of that a suspicious person attempting to cash a suspected false check. Officers located the person, identified as Alex Mestre, 26, of Springfield, and confirmed with bank staff the check was in-fact false. Mestre was also found to have four active warrants out of Springfield District Court, he was subsequently placed under arrest on related charges.

Officers responded to a shoplifting on the 500 block of Massachusetts Ave. The suspected, identified as Marcel Bell, 59 of Cambridge, MA, was found to have five outstanding warrants out of courts in Boston. Bell was subsequently placed under arrest, during a search incident to arrest, Bell was found to have a white hard rock like substance in his pants pocket that a test revealed to be cocaine. As a result Bell will face an additional charge of Possession of a Class B Substance.

Upon arrival a male, identified as Benjamin Zhao, 41, of Belmont, and learned he was observed by the store employee attempting to steal merchandise by concealing it in his backpack. Officers attempted to place Zhao under arrest for Shoplifting by Concealment and he actively resisted, as such he will face an additional charge of Resisting Arrest.
