Police seeking witnesses to fatal hit and run in Gresham

Police are looking for witnesses to a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred near NE Burnside Road and NE Cleveland Avenue in Gresham. The crash happened just after midnight on December 7. Ryan Winchester, a 50-year-old male, was crossing Burnside Road when he was struck by a passing vehicle. Winchester died at the scene. The driver who struck Winchester did not stop.The East County Vehicular Crimes Team was activated and responded to investigate the crash.

Gresham Police want to ensure they have interviewed all witnesses to the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Ryan Gomez at [email protected] even if they have already spoken to another officer at the scene.
