Wanted Murder Suspect Arrested In Atlanta Tuesday Night

Outstanding coordination between TITANS Unit detectives and Atlanta Police Department led to Tuesday night's arrest of wanted murder suspect LaGarrion Blacksmith, now 36, in Georgia.

Blacksmith was charged in October 2023 with criminal homicide, attempted criminal homicide and being a felon in possession of a weapon for his involvement in the February 2023 fatal shooting of Chancellor Eddins, 35, outside Trvth Lounge on Dickerson Pike.

Eddins was located outside the bar with fatal gunshot wounds after shots were fired as he left the lounge. A friend of Eddins was also struck by the gunfire.

The homicide investigation showed Eddins and his friend had a verbal altercation with the suspect, Blacksmith, prior to the shooting.

Blacksmith will be returned to Nashville soon.
