'Get To Know' Adam Procell at Marquette Law School, Oct. 21

Oct. 16, 2025

MILWAUKEE - Adam Procell, director of the City of Milwaukee's Office of Community Wellness and Safety, will be the special guest for the next installment of the Marquette University Law School Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education's "Get To Know" program series on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 12:15 p.m. at Eckstein Hall, 1215 W. Michigan St.

Derek Mosley, director of the Lubar Center, hosts the "Get To Know" series. Registration is available online for this free public event. Media wishing to attend should contact Kevin Conway at [email protected].

Procell was recently named to his position with the Office of Community Wellness and Safety, formerly the Office of Violence Prevention, by Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson. Procell has worked to prevent gang violence as a community outreach worker with Partners in Hope and as the CEO of Paradigm Shift, a consulting firm aimed at improving the justice system, but it is his actions at the age of 15 that have generated the most reaction to his appointment. The conversation will cover Procell's background, his priorities in this new role, and the priority of community wellness and safety for us all.

Mosley has served as Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education director since 2023. Under his leadership, the Law School's Lubar Center has expanded its programming to include sessions during Black History Month and on unconscious bias, as well as Heritage Dinners in the community. A 1995 graduate of Marquette Law School, Mosley served as a judge of the Milwaukee Municipal Court for 20 years.

Through public programming such as the Marquette Law School Poll, "On the Issues" conversations with newsmakers, public lectures by leading scholars, conferences on issues of public significance, and the work of its Lubar Center, Marquette Law School seeks to advance civil discourse about law and public policy matters.
