TRAFFIC ALERT - Sussex County - Closure of Nassau Road and New Road Intersection
Closure of Nassau Road and New Road Intersection
Lewes - ; The Delaware Department of Transportation announces the closure of Nassau Road between Queen Anne Way and New Road starting on Tuesday, October 6th through mid - ; January 2027 (weather permitting) for the construction of a roundabout at the intersection, related to the Minos Conaway Road Separated Intersection Project.
Detour - ; Southbound motorists on SR-1 will continue south, turn left onto Savannah Road, turn left onto Old Orchard Road, and arrive at New Road.
Northbound motorists on SR-1 will turn right onto Savannah Road, turn left onto Old Orchard Road, and Arrive at New Road.
Westbound motorists on New Road will turn left onto Old Orchard Road, turn right onto Savannah Road, turn right onto SR-1, and arrive at New Road.
Motorists should use caution when traveling through the work zone and expect minor delays.
