Statement on the Accelerating Broadband Permits Act of 2026

"Focusing BEAD applications and projects at NTIA through a singular process will streamline approvals while helping to improve transparency and tracking of federal projects. We want to thank Senators Thune, Barrasso, and Luján for their bipartisan effort that will speed the delivery of modern connectivity to more Americans. This is an important aspect in the broader broadband permitting efforts that will help make the BEAD program successful.
