VIENNA, 19 September (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Canada to the United Nations (Vienna), Alison Grant presented her credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV) Ghada Waly.
During her career, Ms. Grant has served in various capacities, among them:
Director General, International Security and Strategic Affairs (2023-present); Executive Director, Security and Defence Relations (2021-2023); Director, Eastern Europe and Eurasia Division (2018-2021); Minister-Counsellor, Embassy in Brazil (2015-2018); Director, Office of the Associate Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs (2012-2014); Deputy Director, Russia, Ukraine, European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries (2009-2011); First Secretary, Permanent Mission of Canada to the United Nations (2004-2006); Second Secretary, Embassy in the Russian Federation (2000-2003).
Ms. Alison Grant holds a Master of Arts in International Affairs from Carleton University in Ottawa and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Queen's University in Kingston.
