LLELA Open House
Step into the beauty of nature with an unforgettable day at Lewisville's favorite nature preserve during the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area (LLELA) Open House on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The public entrance to LLELA is located at 201 E. Jones Street.
Attendees will be able to immerse themselves in a day of family-friendly activities and the Mariposas celebration. They'll learn about butterflies and their habitats, participate in interactive exhibits, and enjoy nature walks to discover the flora and fauna that call LLELA home. They'll be able to explore the great outdoors with camping demonstrations and get hands-on experience with essential camping gear. They'll also discover fishing opportunities along the river and try their hand at catching local fish species-perfect for anglers of all ages and skill levels. No trip to LLELA is complete without visiting the historic Minor-Porter Log House to learn about 1870s pioneer life.
