Brnabic and Stevandic Agree on Serbia and Srpska Parliamentary Form Second Session

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic met today with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Nenad Stevandic.

Brnabic and Stevandic spoke about the organisation of the second session of the Serbia and Srpska Parliamentary Form and agreed to have it on 6 and 7 December in Belgrade. The Constituting Session of the Parliamentary Form was held on 2 July in Banja Luka. The Forum consists of 11 MPs from each National Assembly, Serbia and Srpska, and it meets twice a year. 17 years ago, the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina ratified the Agreement on Special and Parallel Relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, which specifies this type of cooperation that has finally been realised this year.

The speakers once again affirmed that Serbia would continue to support the Republic of Srpska in a variety of areas and would do all in its power, though concrete projects, to help the citizens of the Republic of Srpska.

The speakers of the national assemblies of Serbia and Srpska also spoke about the geopolitical situation in the region and the world and agreed that peace and absence of conflict are key for the further progress and development of everyone in the region.
