Sen. Jason T. Dickerson Shares Condolences After Rep. Mandi Ballinger’s Passing

ATLANTA (October 14, 2025) - Today, Sen. Jason T. Dickerson (R-Canton) released a statement regarding the passing of Rep. Mandi Ballinger (R-Canton):

"This weekend, I was saddened to learn that Rep. Mandi Ballinger had passed away after a long fight with cancer. Cherokee County has suffered a great loss, and she will be sorely missed by our community," said Sen. Dickerson.

"Rep. Ballinger was a devoted public servant, a loving wife and a caring mother. She championed a better path forward for young people in Georgia as the chairwoman of the House Committee on Judiciary Juvenile, particularly through her work to support survivors of domestic violence and child abuse. Her leadership directly impacted two of Georgia's most vulnerable communities, and she leaves behind an enduring legacy of justice and compassion. My sincerest condolences go out to her family and friends, and I will keep them in my prayers during this difficult time."

Rep. Ballinger was elected to the House of Representatives in 2013 and represented House District 23, which includes large portions of Cherokee County.
