Apr 06, 2026 Rooted in Resistance: The 1903 Oxnard Sugar Beet Strike and Farmworker Justice
The 1903 Sugar Beet Strike and formation of the Japanese and Mexican Labor Association is an important part of the history of solidarity and farmworker justice in Oxnard.
We will commemorate that history and look to the future of Farmworker Rights on April 12, 1:30-4:30 p.m. at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center on Hobson Way.
Join us for an afternoon centered on community empowerment, shared resources, and reflection on the parallels between past and present, featuring faculty and student speakers from CSUCI.
