First Look Forum, April 16

The 2026 First Look Forum will be held Thursday, April 16, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Quarles & Brady, bringing together researchers, investors and industry leaders to spotlight high-impact innovations from across Milwaukee.

Hosted by Marquette's Office of Research and Innovation in partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, the Medical College of Wisconsin and Versiti, the forum will feature rapid-fire pitch presentations followed by interactive discussions focused on advancing commercialization and real-world impact.

Marquette faculty members presenting this year include:

• Dr. Sheikh Iqbal Ahamed, who will present "Instant, Needle-Free White Blood Cell Testing Using Fingertip Videos"
• Dr. Ayman EL-Refaie, who will present "The Future of Flight: Electric and Hybrid Aviation Takes Off"

Faculty, staff and community members are invited to attend. Registration is free but required. Questions may be , executive director of technology transfer.
