A Snow Emergency has been declared to be effective at Noon, Sunday, February 22, 2026 through Monday, February 23,2026 at 5pm based on forecasted weather conditions.
Please stay off of roadways during the snowstorm and until they have been cleared. Never pass a snowplow.
Major and primary roads will be plowed first, while residential secondary streets cannot be treated until storm conditions allow.
Where parking is allowed on both sides of the street, residents are reminded to park on the EVEN address side of the street during and after snowfall subsides.
If possible, please park in your driveway.
No parking is allowed in a cul-de-sac until after plowing is completed.
No parking is allowed on designated snow emergency routes which are listed on the Township website and where Snow Emergency signage is posted. If a vehicle is disabled or abandoned on a snow emergency route it may be towed by the Lower Merion Police.
Property owners must clear sidewalks 36 inches in width within 24 hours of the end of snowfall. This includes corner sidewalk ramps to the street.
Also, please clear snow from around fire hydrants and remember, it is illegal to throw or plow snow into the street.
