As the City of Hollywood marks its 100th year, more than 70,000 people have already participated in Centennial Celebration events across the community. From live concerts and cultural festivals to historic dedications and family-friendly activities, each event has honored Hollywood's rich past while looking ahead to a vibrant future.
Highlights so far include:
Party on the J
After a brief hiatus, Party on the J made a triumphant return to Johnson Street, bringing with it live entertainment and community pride. Presented by Memorial Healthcare System, this lively celebration welcomed back locals and visitors alike for a day of sunshine, music, and high energy "On The J."
IGNITE Broward Comes to Hollywood
For the first time, IGNITE Broward expanded to Hollywood, and the response was phenomenal. The immersive art experience lit up ArtsPark at Young Circle with five stunning installations by internationally renowned artists. As part of the City's Centennial Celebration, IGNITE not only highlighted Hollywood's cultural energy-it illuminated it for thousands of awe-struck visitors. Salsa Fest 10th Anniversary
One of the most anticipated events of the year, the 10th Anniversary of Salsa Fes t was nothing short of spectacular. With a vibrant crowd and electrifying performances, this year's celebration was one of the biggest and best in Hollywood's history. The community came together to dance, celebrate, and honor Latin culture in the heart of the city.
The Centennial Star-Spangled Spectacular on Hollywood Beach
Thousands gathered on Hollywood Beach for this year's Fourth of July fireworks show, the Centennial Star-Spangled Spectacular. This unforgettable event lit up the shoreline with live entertainment and fireworks in celebration of the nation's independence and Hollywood's 100th year.

More than 30 Centennial events have already taken place-and at least 11 more are still to come. Residents and visitors are encouraged to take part as the year-long celebration continues through 2025. Upcoming highlights include:

Cardboard Boat Race at the Hollywood Marina: Saturday, November 8
Veterans Day Barbecue at TY Park: Tuesday, November 11

Centennial Celebration at ArtsPark: Thursday, November 20 - Sunday, November 23
This four-day event promises to be one of the largest of the year. Highlights include a major live concert (details coming soon), the City's annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at ArtsPark, and other exciting events at the beach, ArtsPark, and throughout downtown Hollywood.
