Head of the Chinese Mission to the African Union Jiang Feng Meets with Chief of Staff to the AUC Chairperson

On September 29th, Ambassador Jiang Feng met with H.E. Mohamed El-Amine Souef, Chief of Staff to the AUC Chairperson.

Amb. Jiang expressed his appreciation to the African Union Commission for its positive response to the Global Governance Initiative (GGI) proposed by President Xi Jinping. He stated that China will continue to support the African Union and sub-regional organizations in playing constructive roles. China is willing to deepen cooperation with the AU in various fields, to help African countries eliminate the breeding ground for insecurity, and achieve long-term stability through development and revitalization.

Amb. El-Amine spoke highly of the GGI and commended China's outstanding contributions to advancing reforms in the global governance system. He stated that the AU is willing to strengthen coordination and cooperation with China on multilateral platforms to jointly promote the building of a more inclusive and sustainable international order.
